Please note all measurements are approximate and may vary slightly. Please allow a tolerance of plus/minus 10mm. We endeavour to ensure that all colours are as accurate as possible. However, we recommend you check with us before placing an order.

If using solid fuels, please be aware that they will discolour polished or brass products. If this is a concern, we recommend selecting a full black finish. Do not use anthracite or petroleum coke, which significantly reduces the product's life.

All our gas fires are manufactured in the UK and comply with all CE requirements and British standard BSEN509:2000. They come complete with a flame failure device and oxygen depletion system. All gas fires must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered installer.

Care Instructions

For a full polish finish, keep oiled using a thin coat of light oil such as 3-in-1. Perform this treatment twice a year or as required. Remove any surface rust using fine wire wool cloth and re-oil. Avoid exposing the cast iron surface to moisture. Cast iron is a natural material subject to minor imperfections and should be considered part of its charm. For a highlight/black finish, coat with an iron paste and buff up to enhance the finish of your fireplace. Do not use spray polish.

Cast Iron Fireplace Surround, The Art Nouveau cast iron fireplace surround with a symmetrical pomegranate motif stretching from the frieze's centre to fill the framework's legs, achieved through 3D modelling techniques and CNC moulds coupled with traditional casting methods. This cast iron fireplace surround will undoubtedly be a showpiece in any residential or commercial interior. They were inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, which reacted to the negative impacts of industrialisation and the way objects were manufactured. William Morris, the arts and crafts pioneer, thought that artistic skill should be expressed in all products rather than just 'fine art'. Cast iron holds heat efficiently, creating a pleasant atmosphere and warming significant areas. The Art Nouveau Surround is available in two finishes, full polished and black. The full polished surround is achieved by a high degree of polishing using fine ceramic abrasives, which are then buffed with a stitched polishing mop. This timely process accentuates the detailed features and natural metal finish. The Black Surround is achieved by applying liberon iron paste, providing a more traditional appearance.
